This website was created to familiarize you with the many aspects of the program,
and to ensure an enjoyable and educationally rewarding musical experience. I
realize you are deluged with reading material from the school at the beginning of the
year, but PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO LOOK THROUGH THE WEBSITE!
After you have read the Handbook, sign the last page, detach the form, and return it
to me. Band students will be held accountable for the information contained herein,

FRESHMEN MEETING AT LAKE BRANTLEY HIGH SCHOOL
There will be a meeting for freshmen and their parents in the band room at 6:30 pm.
Questions about the brand program will be answered.
MPA PERFORMANCE
On Thursday, April 11, 2013 both bands performed their rehearsed pieces before
adjudicators at Lake Mary High School. They are rated and given a score -
Superior being the best. Congratulations Teague Bands for your awesome
performances.
SUMMER BAND CAMP
The ALTAMONTE SUMMER BAND CAMP is back, offering instruction to
students who will be enrolling in band at either Teague or Rock Lake
Middle Schools. Classes will begin on Monday, June 10, and will end on
Thursday, June 27. All students will meet in the band room (Monday
through Thursday) at Teague Middle School located at 1350 McNeil
Road in Altamonte Springs. On the final day of classes (Thursday, June
27), both bands will perform in a concert scheduled to be held at 7:00 p.m.
in the Teague Gymnasium.

JAZZ BAND PERFORMANCE AT OVIEDO HIGH SCHOOL
Congratulations to Teague Jazz Band for their SUPERIOR performance at this year’s
Music Performance Assessment at Oviedo High School on Thursday, February 21.
Today, Friday, February 22 and Saturday, February 23, Solo & Ensemble performances
continue at Markham Wood Middle School. Good luck to all of our participants.
SEMINOLE COUNTY HONORS BAND
Congratulations to all of the Teague Band students who made the Seminole County
Honors Band. The 2012/13 Teague Band students are: Ella Gangle-Flute, Dominique
Pinkney-Flute, Alix Patterson-Oboe, Kendal Chase-Clarinet, Jefferey Espinosa-Alto Sax,
Samuel Creamer-Trumpet, Robert Krohn-Trumpet, Bryce Nguyen-French Horn, Matthew
Denicola-Trombone, Terri Tran-Trombone, Jorial Delgato-Tuba and Regal Randall-Tuba.
ALL-STATE INFORMATION
The Florida All-State Middle School Band and Orchestra consist of the state’s finest
student musicians in grades 7 and 8. These students are selected from taped auditions
consisting of scales, prepared pieces and sight-reading. Auditions are held in September
and the students rehearse and perform in January at the Florida Music Educators’
Convention in Tampa, FL. This year, Alix Patterson (Oboe) represented Teague Middle
School at the convention. Congratulations Alix!

The Next Step - Patriot Marching Band
The marching band is composed of members from the
Symphonic Band I, Symphonic Band II, Symphonic
Band III, Instrumental Techniques, the Color Guard,
and the Dance Team. The marching band is a musical
unit organized to provide education and entertainment
for football games, pep rallies, band festivals, parades and concerts. This group is
an important part of the instrumental music education program at Lake Brantley
High School. Membership requires TOTAL DEDICATION, MAXIMUM EFFORT and
COMPLETE INVOLVEMENT in all aspects of marching, playing and performance.
The LBHS Symphonic Bands are opened to students with previous instruction in
wind and percussion instruments. They consist of modern wind band
instrumentation and provides instruction in common-practice period and twentieth
century wind literature and transcriptions. The bands meet (for credit) throughout
the entire year and perform several concerts and festivals each year.
