This ensemble will perform concerts and may perform at the F.B.A.Music Performance Assessment in February. Tools of improvisation, including blues, Dorian, anddominant scales will be studied. A variety of musical styles, including Swing, Jazz-Rock, Latin, andBallad, will be performed using a traditional “Big Band” instrumentation. Students seldom may havebefore or after school rehearsals when necessary for concert preparation for which attendanceis mandatory.
